What makes the perfect sandwich: Meat? Cheese? Bread?

More than four in five Americans take the quality of their sandwiches very seriously. In a poll, 62 percent say they are loyal to one restaurant or deli specifically because they make the best sandwiches. 65% cycle through three or more different restaurants before finding their go-to sandwich stop. What makes the perfect sandwich? The meat-to-cheese ratio is key. 43 percent of these serious eaters believe the perfect ratio includes much more meat than cheese. 66 percent of the poll will put between three and six (or more) different condiments on their sandwiches at once. 45% spreads their condiments on the bun with a knife, compared to 26 percent who drizzle them on. On top of that, 44 percent believe that condiments belong not just on the top bun or bottom bun, but on both. 44 percent believe having the right bun or bread is what produces the best quality sandwich.

Amazon Delivery Driver Hilariously Honors Request To 'Hide Packages From Husband'

An Amazon delivery driver in Oklahoma honored the customer’s request to “hide packages from husband.” The woman shared security camera footage of the unexpected delivery choice to TikTok with the caption: "My Amazon driver understood the assignment." The woman’s doormat said "Please hide packages from husband." The driver then left the small box behind a shrub. The 32-second clip has been viewed more than 8.4 million times.

Florida School Board Member Takes Elementary School Student on Field Trip to Gay Bar

A Florida school board member chaperoned a group of elementary school children on a field trip to a gay bar, according to photos of the trip she posted to social media. On her official school board Facebook page she said, “I was SO honored to be invited to chaperone Wilton Manors Elementary’s field trip to the incredible Rosie’s! The students and I had a fun walk over and learned a lot about our community! A huge thank you to Rosie's Bar and Grill for hosting this special field trip every year!” The post also shows photos of students in the bar, Rosie’s Bar and Grill, and posing next to the bar's sign. Screenshots of the school board member’s post have since circulated on social media, sparking outrage. Broward School District did not immediately respond to request for comment on why a bar was chosen for a school field trip.

At Least 5% Of Unvaccinated Adult Americans Have QUIT Their Jobs Over Workplace Vaccine Mandates

According to a new survey… at least 5% of Americans have chosen to quit their jobs rather than get the COVID vaccine. Researchers surveyed 1,519 adults from October 14th to October 24th about vaccination trends. They found 5% of unvaccinated adults polled have left their jobs due to a vaccine mandate. And 37% of unvaccinated adults said they would leave their job if their employer required a vaccine or weekly testing.

PETA Asks Baseball World To Remove 'Bullpen' From Vocabulary

PETA is asking baseball to get rid of the term “bullpen” which references the area where bulls are kept for slaughter. PETA says "Words matter, and baseball ‘bullpens’ devalue talented players and mock the misery of sensitive animals.” The organization is now encouraging Major League Baseball coaches, announcers, players, and fans to changeup their language and call it the “arm barn” instead. The bullpen refers to the area where pitchers warm up… it’s usually located beyond the outfield wall.

Only 27% Of Parents Eager To Have Kids Ages 5-11 Vaccinated

Only 27% of parents in the US are eager to have their kids aged 5 to 11 vaccinated against COVID. Researchers found 33% of parents with children in that age range would wait and see, 30% would definitely not have their kids receive the shots and 5% would do so only if required. 76% of the parents expressed concern about the long-term effects of the COVID vaccines in children while 66% said they were worried the vaccines could affect their fertility down the road.

Woman Shows Off Deep Fried Chicken Head That Came With Her Order Of Wings

A Pennyslyvania woman posted pictures of a chicken head found in her takeout order of wings. She placed the order with her friend on Friday at Old School Pizza. In the photo you can see the head and the beak is still visible. Her Facebook post of the incident has received more than 11,000 shares. The restaurant has since apologized for their error and offered her a refund for the order. The woman wasn’t angry and said the find actually reassured her that her order was being made with real chicken. People enjoyed the woman sharing the grim discovery, with some branding it scary, and many others insisting it was comical. Old School Pizza released a statement saying, “We deeply apologizes for the disturbing event on Friday. We are currently looking for the source and have been in contact with our wing provider. We are trying figure how this could have happened with the numerous checkpoints involved. We have cooked approximately 361,000 pounds of wings over the course of 12 years and this is the very first time an incident like this has happened. We are working with the parties involved the best we can to rectify the issue and move forward. We thank our patrons for their continued support.”

Matthew Perry To Write Autobiography, Says It's Time People Hear His Story 'Directly' From Him

Matthew Perry is writing an autobiography. The “Friends” star signed a seven-figure deal with Flatiron Books, a division of Macmillan, for the upcoming memoir. Perry said "There has been so much written about me by others in the past. I thought it was time people heard it directly from the horse's mouth. In this case, the horse's mouth being me." The book will be published in fall 2022.

Tom Hanks Crashes Couple’s Wedding on the Beach in Santa Monica

A private chef to celebrities didn’t expect Tom Hanks to casually drop by her wedding over the weekend on the beach in Santa Monica. Tom told the couple that he saw the wedding taking place from afar and wanted to offer his congrats. A video circulating on social media shows Tom introducing himself to the couple and exclaiming, "Oh man, my stock just exploded!" He then posed for a photo with the couple and their 1-year-old son, while someone in the back can be heard saying, “That’s Woody!”

Morgan Wallen Banned From Attending 2021 AMAs Despite Nominations

Country star Morgan Wallen is banned from attending the American Music Awards despite being nominated. Show producers released a statement saying “Morgan Wallen is a nominee this year based on charting. As his conduct does not align with our core values, we will not be including him on the show in any capacity (performing, presenting, accepting).” The ban comes after the “Wasted on You” singer was caught on video using the n-word back in February. Wallen is a double nominee, getting nods in the “Favorite Male Country Artist” and “Favorite Country Album” categories.
