Poll: 50% of People Forgot This Important Item When Traveling

In a new report about forgotten road trip items, AAA says half of Utahns they surveyed admitted they have forgotten cellphone chargers while traveling. With a rebound in traveling underway this summer, the agency studied what items Western residents were most likely to forget while packing. AAA officials said the results were from a survey of over 2,200 travelers from Utah, Alaska, Arizona, California, Montana, Nevada and Wyoming who either had a road trip in the past two years or planned to take one within the next year. More than half admitted to forgetting items. Cellphone chargers placed second behind only a toothbrush or toothpaste, which led the way. Hair-related items, such as brushes, razors and hair products, placed third; underwear/socks and other items of clothing rounded out the top five. More than one-third of those surveyed also admitted they've left a cellphone charger at their travel destination, which topped items most likely to be left behind on a trip back.

The Things Millennials Thought Were Completely Normal or Cool in 2008

Back in 2008, the only way to be cool was to… 1. Talk about Michael Phelps's diet, six times a day 2. Think Chuck Norris jokes were the be-all and end-all of comedy 3. Try to convince people that the iPhone was worth the money by showing them that one app where it looks like you're drinking a beer and that one app where it looked like you had a lighter. 4. Or insist that BlackBerry was way better than iPhone because of Brick Breaker. 5. Email the Christian Bale and Kermit the Frog comparison memes to your friends: 6. Be really into vampires. 7. Watch every single Diet Coke and Mentos video on the internet. 8. Wear fedoras... 9. Burn photo CDs in order to share pics with your friends. 10. Watch movies on portable DVD players (that barely had enough battery life for one whole movie).

People are Sharing Their Worst Date Stories

A Reddit user recently asked, “What’s the worst date you ever had?” Here are some of the best responses: 1. "We came out from a movie — late at night — and my date's Camaro was stolen. Apparently, he called his WIFE (who I did not know he had) and let her know where he was and what happened. She showed up and realized he was on a date! She started chasing me around the parking lot telling me she was going to kill me. Saved by the cops who showed up just in time to take the auto theft report.” 2. "We were out on a date; we had been seeing each other for a while. She gets a phone call. Suddenly she looks destroyed — her fiancé had just died in a motorcycle accident.” 3. "Got set up on a blind date once from mutual friends. She shows up to the restaurant already a little tipsy, orders multiple appetizers, and only takes like one or two bites from each one. Then she proceeds to order more drinks and is visibly drunk at this point. She gets up and says she's going to the bathroom and staggers off. About 15–20 minutes go by, so I try to call her several times, but no answer. Finally I decide to pay the check and just leave. About two hours later, I'm sitting at home and I get a call from an unknown number. It's the police department. She was picked up on a DUI on her way home after she ditched me and gave the cops my number to see if I could go bail her out!” 4. "It was a double date. She was more interested in talking to the other girl throughout the whole thing. Found out later from the other guy that his girl cheated on him with my date." 5. "My wife wanted to plan our 13th wedding anniversary. I was excited because usually I plan it. She bought us some new disc golf discs, and after a quick supper, we went to play. We hadn't played in forever. We were laughing and I had a great time. She then served me with divorce papers and told me that date was a test to see if she still had feelings for me. I also learned that she was having an affair that started well before our anniversary." 6. "It was a Tinder date. She looked nothing like her picture — not ugly, just completely different. She picked the worst restaurant in town, which I looked past because everyone has different taste. We came back to my house, but she decided she didn’t like my house, which I had just bought and was proud of. She immediately wanted to go to Home Depot to buy stuff to start remodeling. It was by far my worst and weirdest date. I hope she found a house to remodel." 7. "I preordered two drinks like normal. She shows up, she orders a ton of expensive items and drinks, while all the time she is on her phone. I think the bill was around $350, but I already paid my part, so I walked out through the back and ghosted." 8. "Go on a dinner date with a guy as a first date. Conversation is good and we go to his place. I make it clear we will not be having sex, he's fine with it, everything seems good. To preface this next part, I know I'm an attractive woman, but I have some crooked bottom teeth. Anyway, for some reason this man asks me what my biggest insecurity is. I say my teeth. He asks me to smile. I do. He says, 'Wow, yeah, they're pretty f—ked up!' and that's all.I went home shortly after and never texted him again. Killed my self-esteem for a minute there." 9 “Met her for dinner. We seemed to hit it off well in the first few minutes, until I started feeling the worst pain ever in my side. Turns out I had a kidney stone. I unfortunately had to leave very quickly. She then blocked me via text when I abruptly left dinner, so she never got the message that I ended up in the hospital. I didn't see her for years until we ran into each other at a bar, me with a different girlfriend, her with her husband. I explained what had happened; she felt pretty bad, but hey, no long-lasting harm done. I bought her and her husband a drink, chatted for a few, and left them to finish their evening together." 10. "Was told we were going to dinner and then shopping. I drove to his town, one hour each way, cuz he didn't have a license. He directed me (didn't know my way around at all) to...Burger King. I ended up paying for dinner, too. Then we went to...Walmart — where his mom worked — so he could get a discount. Didn't buy anything. On the drive home, he started apologizing out of nowhere. I thought it was because of the bad date. Until the smell hit me. He passed gas and I had to legit pull over and roll the windows down a while." 11. "He brought his mom! I decided it wasn't going to work out for me, but I stayed because, I mean, I couldn't miss it. At least I can remember it as funny to some degree."

America Fails To Make It Into The Top Five Places Most Likely To Survive The End Of The World

According to a new study… the US isn't among the top 5 countries most likely to survive the end of the world. Researchers compiled their top 5 list of countries that they consider most likely to survive a global climate collapse. New Zealand topped the list followed by Australia, Ireland, Iceland and the UK. All of those countries are islands or island continents and they have fewer temperature extremes and varied amounts of rainfall. The US failed to make the list because its giant land borders make it vulnerable to migration from people who would be trying to escape climate disasters in their own countries.

Scarlett Johansson Sues Disney Over Streaming ‘Black Widow’

Scarlett Johansson is suing the Walt Disney Company because they released “Black Widow” for streaming on Disney Plus at the same time it released it to theaters. Johannson says it hurts her financially because her compensation is based on box office receipts. She's calling it a breach of contract and says Disney promised her separate releases. Disney fired back at Johansson, slamming the actress’ breach of contract lawsuit for showing “callous disregard for the horrific and prolonged global effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.” Disney is countering that it complied with the terms of Johansson’s deal. They said, “There is no merit whatsoever to this filing. The lawsuit is especially sad and distressing in its callous disregard for the horrific and prolonged global effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.” Disney went on to state that Johansson has already received $20 million for her work and argued that “the release of ‘Black Widow’ on Disney+ with Premier Access has significantly enhanced her ability to earn additional compensation on top of the $20 million she has received to date.”
